I'm surprised at the massive amount of comments and PM I received about "OMG S2 copied Riot, Rhapsody is totally a Sona copy WTF". The art and the mechanics are completely different. There is no resemblance between the characters, at all.


Did my video do a good job of proving how retarded those people are? I certainly hope so. The previous one was made in a few minutes and was too shoddy to not replace.


Sona is based off of the magical girl archtype in terms of design(except breasts which were added just for the males), but mostly off of Hatsune Miku, Shurelia has openly admitted in the past about her being influenced by anime characters.




her weapon is based off of the Harpists from Kung Fu Hustle








The influences are clear.


Her gameplay is based around auras and takes heavy inspiration from Everquest Bards.
Everquest bards were famous for the following:


- Being able to cast without stopping(Sona can do this)
- Being able to provide auras for the team through songs (Sona can do this)
- Having almost all of their spells be multi-target(Sona is this way as well)

Tryndamere and Pendragon have both admitted to them taking inspiration from EQ as they were both avid players.

However, this only extends to her play style. Sona is NOT even close to the D&D Bard style design.



Rhapsody however, IS inspired by the D&D Bard.







Rhapsody's design is based off of the classic Bardic Rogue from D&D where rogues actually wear armor and are less mystical and more down to earth jester/fighter/caster as opposed to just mystical waifs.

Honestly I dont understand how people can even begin to make the comparison. Just because two champions/heros are based on the concept of music doesnt mean that their role in either games are the same.
